Diablo II is a 2D game, displaying images at a speed of 25 frames per second, so all activities take place in a certain number of frames. For example, a normal weapon attack takes 10 frames to perform. If you increase the attack speed so that it drops to 9 frames, it will hit faster, but if it only drops from 9.1 to 9.9 frames, it will still only hit slowly. like 10 frames. This shows that all your efforts to increase speed will be in vain if you do not reach a certain point, the point to switch 1 frame called “Breakpoint”.
BreakPoint Summary and Details are referenced: Link
“Breakpoint” system application indicators include:
- Faster Block Rate (FBR)
- Faster Cast Rate (FCR)
- Faster Hit Recovery (FHR)
- Increased Attack Speed (IAS)
- Fast Run Walk (FRW)
Faster Block Rate (FBR)
It can be briefly called "Fast Block" - FBR, which is an important index that helps the character block attacks continuously without stopping their movements. The character will fall into the Block state if the opponent hits him but blocks the attack. During Block, the character will not be able to move or use skills but can run away from attacks without being stopped. Block only occurs in close combat or when the character moves = Walk. Increasing FBR is quite difficult because the FBR bonus mostly depends on your shield (Shield or Armor).
Special Note:
- Assassin's Weapon Block Skills can block both Skills and be affected by FBR.
- Mercenary Act 3 cannot be blocked even with a shield.
FBR should be achieved for each Character:
- Amazon: Stormshield (Eld) = 35 (32)
- Assassin: Stormshield (Eld) = 35 (32)
- Barbarian: Stormshield (Shael) = 55 (42)
- Druids: Stormshield (Shael) = 55 (52)
- Necromancer: Stormshield (Shael) = 55 (52)
- Paladin: Sacred Target + Holy Shield = 0 (0)
- Sorceress: Witstan's (Shael) = 60 (48)
Faster Cast Rate (FCR)
Faster cast rate – FCR can be found on countless different types of equipment. FCR is extremely important for spellcasting characters because it shortens skill release time. With Mods D2VN The better it is to achieve the maximum index below the table.
FCR should be achieved (for LoD PvP):

Fast Hit Recovery (FHR)
The hit recovery state occurs when the char is hit by any attack, losing 1/12 of its maximum health or more. At that time, the char will be "Hit stun - Stunned" for a while before being able to move. If your Char and Merc are surrounded by too many monsters or stunned by an opponent with high attack speed, they can be continuously stunned - called "stun lock" - a very dangerous situation. Some skills can also stun such as barbarian's bash, paladin's smite, and kicksin, making it difficult for low FHR chars to defend. Therefore, you need to achieve a decent FHR level so that when you encounter danger, you can escape.
